Brett Amron and Jeffrey Bast talk to Steven about what has kept him at the same firm for thirty-one years. Steven shares how he started as a summer associate in 1991 with K&L Gates, formally known as Kirkpatrick & Lockhart, from being one of the founding members of the firm’s national health care team to becoming the Managing Partner of the firm’s Miami office and everything in-between.
Steven weighs in on longevity and loyalty- generational and cultural changes and the firm’s transformation throughout his career from joining a firm of four hundred attorneys to now being an AmLaw 100 law firm with close to two-thousand attorneys.
Brett and Jeff asked Steven what has kept him with the same firm for three decades. His answer was simple: “The DNA has remained the same throughout the firm’s evolution, and I still enjoy getting up in the morning and coming to work.”
