Downtown Miami boutique firm specializing in bankruptcy, receiverships, corporate reorganization, and complex commercial litigation is seeking a 6-8-year restructuring and insolvency litigation associate attorney.
Key responsibilities:
Work closely with partners on complex business restructuring, reorganization, and insolvency litigation matters.
Work directly with debtors in possession, creditors’ committees, trustees, equity security holders, and institutional creditors.
Qualifications:
At least 6-8 years of restructuring and reorganization experience working on sophisticated transactions and insolvency litigation matters. Complex cross-border restructurings a plus.
Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
Manage cases with limited supervision.
Deposition and trial experience preferred. First chair deposition, trial or evidentiary hearing experience a plus.
Must be licensed to practice law in Florida or be willing to sit for the next Florida bar exam.
Must be willing to travel (when safe to do so)
Candidates must be able to work with a high volume and varied caseload, prioritize, and must be able to communicate with clients/co-workers effectively and efficiently. They must further possess excellent typing and organizational skills, with a keen eye towards detail and ability to work in a team environment and multi-task. Candidates must also be able to work under pressure and deadlines and must be disciplined to work in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
