JAIME LEGGETT WAS QUOTED IN A LAW 360 ARTICLE, “CINEMEX THEATER CO. GETS $2.6M FOR OPERATIONS IN CH. 11”

MIAMI, FL – July 11, 2025 – Bast Amron partner Jaime Leggett was quoted in a Law360 article, “Cinemex Theater Co. Gets $2.6M For Operations In Ch. 11.”

Debtor attorney Jaime Leggett of Bast Amron LLP told Judge Isicoff that it’s necessary for the company to maintain goodwill with its customers and honor the programs, which he said are standard practices for operating retail businesses in the theater industry.

“We would seek authorization to honor these programs and practices in the ordinary course [of business],” Leggett said. “This would be in furtherance of our reorganization efforts and in support of the maintenance of the value of these estates, in particular the goodwill value that these debtors have with their customers.”

Leggett asked Judge Isicoff to approve the motion on a final basis, which she ultimately granted, saying that all of the vouchers and credits may not be redeemed by July 29, when the next hearing is scheduled.
