Thomas M. Santi, a Law Clerk at Bast Amron in 2025, has joined the firm as its newest associate, where he will focus his practice on commercial litigation and insolvency litigation. Thomas is a thoughtful and practical advocate, combining sharp analytical skills with creative problem-solving to serve his clients.
Thomas earned his Juris Doctor from St. Thomas University College of Law, graduating summa cum laude in the top 5% of his class, and received a Certificate in Real Estate Law. During law school, he obtained Dean’s List recognition in every semester, served as Executive Editor of the St. Thomas Law Review, and earned multiple CALI Book Awards in Civil Procedure, Legal Research & Writing, Appellate Advocacy, Business Association, and Florida Condominium Law.
Prior to law school, Thomas graduated summa cum laude from Florida International University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and a Pre-Law certificate. He gained substantive experience as an Extern with the City of Miami Office of the City Attorney, where he drafted contracts, researched ordinances and statutes, and prepared legal opinions.
Outside of work, Thomas is fluent in Spanish and is an IRS-certified Client Intake Specialist for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program, where he assisted low-income families in filing their tax returns by interviewing clients, collecting tax documents, and acting as liaison between the program’s site coordinators, tax preparers, and clients. Thomas has also volunteered with the Humane Society of Greater Miami, supporting animal care and adoption efforts.
