MIAMI, FL – December 29, 2025 – Bast Amron Founding Partner, Jeffrey Bast, and our new Chief Operating Officer, Allison Koonin, were featured in a recent article by Law 360, ”Bast Amron Names 1st Chief Operating Officer.”
The article highlights Bast Amron’s appointment of its first Chief Operating Officer as part of the firm’s long-term growth strategy. Jeffrey Bast told Law360 that since the firm’s launch in 2009, he and fellow Founding Partner Brett Amron have been “simultaneously running the firm, building it, managing it, growing it and practicing law.”
“We want to ensure long-term success of the firm in a way that’s scalable and not perpetually reliant upon myself and Brett,” Bast said. “This is our family, and we do not take the responsibility lightly.” He added that the addition of a Chief Operating Officer will help ensure the firm will “not only survive, but thrive and grow.”
Chief Operating Officer Allison Koonin will oversee firm operations, including finance, technology, and administrative functions, and will work closely with firm leadership. Commenting on her new role, Koonin said, “Joining Bast Amron as its first Chief Operating Officer is an exciting opportunity. The firm has a strong culture and impressive track record, and I’m looking forward to working closely with leadership and staff to support the firm’s strategic goals and ensure the infrastructure is in place to serve clients and attorneys at the highest level.”
