Fraud

Fraud

October 29th, 2014 - Posted in

Unfortunately, fraud occurs in variety of corporate and personal settings. Often the fraud perpetrated on our clients is not immediately apparent. Through investigative due diligence and discovery, however, we have found that both individuals and corporations occasionally fall prey to fraudulent schemes, often in the investment context. Sometimes fraud can be more benign than the classic Ponzi scheme but it usually difficult to detect. Fortunately, Bast Amron has extensive experience uncovering, investigating, prosecuting and recovering losses from fraud.

The firm handles fraud cases both inside and outside the bankruptcy context. The firm’s experience includes prosecution and defense of fraudulent transfer actions, fraudulent business transactions, fraud involving questions of accounting and legal malpractice, investors’ fraud, directors’ and officers’ liability and securities and regulatory issues, including Ponzi schemes.

BAST AMRON is a boutique law firm focused on business insolvency and litigation. Our insolvency practice emphasizes workouts, restructurings, liquidations, bankruptcy, and bankruptcy avoidance. We represent debtors, creditors, committees, trustees, and other fiduciaries in bankruptcies, receiverships, and assignments for the benefit of creditors. Our litigation practice is primarily plaintiff oriented. We know how to investigate, formulate and prosecute claims arising from business disputes. By combining our business insolvency knowledge with our extensive courtroom experience, we successfully guide our clients through all aspects and types of commercial litigation in state and federal courts across the country. Whether the issue is litigation or insolvency or both, we view our clients’ needs through a holistic lens to formulate and implement dynamic solutions to their most important challenges.
