MIAMI, FL- May 26, 2021- Bast Amron is proud to announce that Alejandra M. Iglesia has been selected as one of the individuals to receive the Florida Bar Business Law Section’s 2021-2023 Fellowship Award. The Fellowship Program is designed to assist a diverse and inclusive group of lawyers in becoming better leaders within our profession and the Section while enhancing their leadership skills. Each year a select group of participants are selected from applications submitted to the Inclusion, Mentoring, & Fellowship Committee of the Business Law Section of the Florida Bar.
About The Business Law Section Fellowship Program: The Business Law Section of The Florida Bar (the “Section”) consists of numerous active committees, as well as Executive Council with more than 60 members. The Section has a longstanding commitment to the recruitment of young and diverse lawyers to join, participate, and ultimately serve in leadership positions of the Section.
To facilitate its goals, the Section has created a Fellowship Program to provide a two-year subsidy to eight qualified applicants who express an interest in becoming active in the substantive work and leadership of the Section.
About Alejandra: Alejandra M. Iglesia focuses her practice in the areas of commercial litigation and insolvency litigation. While her commercial litigation practice involves virtually every type of dispute that can arise in the business context, Alejandra practices with an emphasis on partnership and joint venture disputes, derivative actions, breach of fiduciary duty allegations, fraud, and breach of contract cases. She also represents trustees in their investigation of potential claims against directors and officers of corporations that have filed for bankruptcy and have exposed themselves to liability.
