MIAMI, FL- May 29, 2025- Bast Amron is pleased to welcome Elsa Iannotta as a Summer Clerk for 2025. Our summer program is crafted to offer law students a dynamic and enriching experience that blends intellectual rigor with practical insight into the legal profession.
Elsa is a Juris Doctor candidate at the University of Miami School of Law, where she is actively involved in the International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP), contributing to both direct representation and policy efforts. She will participate in the Environmental Justice Clinic in the 2025-26 school year. Elsa graduated magna cum laude from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo with a B.A. in Political Science. During her undergraduate studies, she served as a Research Assistant for the Political Science Department, focusing on judicial trust and political attitudes, and completed a notable internship at the Special Competitive Studies Project in Washington, D.C., where she researched the legal implications of AI and emerging technologies.
Her recent legal experience includes participating in the Judicial Intern Academy in Miami, where she drafted legal memoranda under the guidance of a former federal law clerk, and volunteering with the International Refugee Assistance Project (IRAP), contributing to both direct representation and policy efforts.
Outside of academics and law, Elsa enjoys distance running, backpacking, and cooking.
