JEFFREY BAST WAS QUOTED IN A LAW 360 ARTICLE, “ATTY TOLD TO FIX AI ‘TRAIN WRECK’ IN MULTIPLE FLA. COURTS”

June 24th, 2025 - Posted in In The News, Jeffrey P. Bast

MIAMI, FL – June 23, 2025 – Bast Amron partner Jeffrey Bast was quoted in a Law360 article, “Atty Told To Fix AI ‘Train Wreck’ In Multiple Fla. Courts.”

Jeffrey P. Bast of Bast Amron LLP, representing Knecht, told the court that “this was not mere inadvertence” and said it was a pattern. Bast added that what Paul did wasn’t just reckless, but that the cases he filed are also frivolous.

After filing his motion to dismiss in mid-May, Bast said Paul’s response came a mere 13 hours later. Bast said that he wasted time and money exposing the deception, and that the judge should dismiss the cases.

“There’s no question that the entire response was AI-generated,” Bast said. “He could not have reviewed a 20-page filing, conducted research and make the response , assuming he was awake the entire time. Enough is enough.
