MIAMI, FL- April 5, 2024- Bast Amron Founder Jeffrey Bast’s sub-committee, which he co-chairs, the Bankruptcy Committees sub-committee of the American Bar Association Business Bankruptcy Committee, will be presenting at the webinar ” It’s About the Bottom Line. Or Is it?” on Monday, April 22, from 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm EST.

The webinar will discuss Modern thinking about corporate responsibility and how it embraces the concept that there are a lot of stakeholders besides creditors and shareholders.

By the end of the program, participants will understand:

  • How corporate social responsibility concepts translate to bankruptcy cases.
  • The extent to which there may be a role for Corporate Social Responsibility and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance issues) in bankruptcy.
  • The limitations and challenges presented when considering corporate social responsibility concepts during insolvency or in a bankruptcy case.
  • Circumstances when a committee can or should consider non-economic concerns.
  • Whether the role for an out-of-the-money committee can include social responsibility constructs.
