Hayley Harrison concentrates her practice in the areas of bankruptcy, insolvency, and commercial litigation. Having started with Bast Amron as a law clerk during her last year of law school, and continuing on to become the first first-year associate that the firm hired, Hayley has honed her skills under the mentorship of the firms’ partners and has developed a significant practice and reputation in the legal community. Hayley primarily represents bankruptcy trustees in their administration of Chapter 7 debtor cases, including all aspects of analyzing avenues of recovery, the sale of bankruptcy estate assets, and the pursuit of avoidance actions and other litigation claims. She also advises debtors, secured and unsecured creditors and interested parties in relation to their rights in Chapter 7, Chapter 11, and Chapter 13 bankruptcy proceedings and out of court proceedings, including workout negotiations. Hayley also represents fiduciaries in various capacities, most frequently, assignee’s in state court assignments for the benefit of creditors.
Hayley is the immediate past-president 2021-2022 of the Bankruptcy Bar Association for the Southern District of Florida and has spearheaded the firm’s Business Advantage Forum since its inception, bringing together thought leaders to share best practices. Hayley was named by Chambers and Partners Up and Coming for Bankruptcy Litigation- Florida, 2022, as a Rising Star by Florida Super Lawyers Magazine in 2021 and was named among Florida Trend’s Legal Elite for 2021.
