PETER J. KLOCK INCLUDED IN LAW360 COVERAGE OF BANG ENERGY FOUNDER’S DENIED STAY

PETER J. KLOCK INCLUDED IN LAW360 COVERAGE OF BANG ENERGY FOUNDER’S DENIED STAY

February 27, 2026 by Maylynn

February 27th, 2026 - Posted in In The News, Peter J. Klock, II

MIAMI, FL – February 27, 2026 – Bast Amron Partner Peter Klock serves as counsel to the VPX Liquidating Trust in the adversary proceeding recently covered by Law360 in its article, “Bang Energy’s Founder Denied Stay Of Adversary Suit,” following a ruling in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida.

The court denied a motion to stay the litigation, allowing the Trust’s claims to proceed. In its decision, the court found that no irreparable harm had been demonstrated and that the requested stay was overly broad.

The matter is a complex Chapter 11 dispute involving fiduciary duty and post-confirmation trust issues.

High-stakes insolvency litigation requires strategy, discipline, and a deep understanding of the bankruptcy process. Bast Amron continues to represent fiduciaries and stakeholders in matters that shape outcomes and reinforce accountability within the restructuring system.

VPX Liquidating Trust is represented by Peter J. Klock of Bast Amron LLP and by Michael A. Kaplan and Eric Chafetz of Lowenstein Sandler LLP.
