SUMMER CLERKSHIP SCOOP: TANISHA WRIGHT’S BAST AMRON EXPERIENCE

SUMMER CLERKSHIP SCOOP: TANISHA WRIGHT’S BAST AMRON EXPERIENCE

January 5, 2026 by Maylynn

January 5th, 2026 - Posted in In The News, Tanisha Wright

MIAMI, FL – January 5, 2026 – At Bast Amron, we believe our Summer Associate Program is more than just a seasonal opportunity. It’s the beginning of meaningful careers and lasting connections. Each summer, our associates are immersed in substantive work, mentorship, and collaboration that provide a true sense of what it means to practice law at our firm.

In this series, we’re excited to share reflections from our former summer associates who are now part of the Bast Amron team. Today, we spotlight Associate Attorney Tanisha Wright.

What’s something new you learned during your summer with us that you didn’t expect?

My summer legal internship taught me the stark contrast between the student lifestyle and full-time legal work. Unlike a student schedule that allows for breaks and flexibility, the workday in a legal office is a rigorous mental marathon. The adjustment can be challenging especially for those new to the office environment where learning the culture is just as important as learning the law.

What part of the experience stood out most to you whether in the courtroom with clients or in your day-to-day work?

One of the most striking takeaways from my time was witnessing the level of collaboration that goes into a single court filing. Behind one motion there is often a team of people who each play a critical role from the law clerk that does the research to the attorneys that draft the motion and argue the law to the paralegals that do a final review for perfection and quality. The process is a well-oiled machine. Seeing how a legal office works and the team effort behind the work output reinforced for me the importance of kindness, patience and collaboration in the legal field.

What advice would you give to future interns coming into the program?

Put your head down, stay humble, and be ready to learn quickly. The pace can be intense, but it is important to remind yourself that you have earned your place you are qualified and with time and effort your confidence will grow.

At Bast Amron, we are proud of our Summer Associate Program and the many talented attorneys it has helped shape. Tanisha’s journey serves as a reminder of the value of meaningful mentorship and substantive opportunities in developing the next generation of legal professionals.
