The Friday Whine By BRIAN L. TANNEBAUM July 13, 2018

The Friday Whine is a casual email to friends and colleagues and contains three things: An ethics update, and a wine recommendation. If you see text in blue, it is a link to an article or information.

Ethics

Another Idiot Lawyer on Facebook

This time it’s a prosecutor.

A prosecutor who doesn’t understand that it’s not just Aunt Mary reading his posts, and there is no First Amendment Right to a job at the DA’s office.

Deputy District Attorney Michael Selyem wondered aloud about Congresswoman Maxine Waters:

“Being a loud-mouthed c–t in the ghetto you would think someone would have shot this b—h by now,” Seylem said of Waters.

Now he’s on paid leave pending an “investigation.” Not sure what there is to investigate, unless he’s going to play the “I was hacked” game.

He said it, and I assume his boss isn’t going to assign him to prosecute only white people. He’s likely done as a prosecutor.

Good riddance.

Wine

Ribolla Gialla, Tocai Friulano, and Chardonnay

Look at that blend and guess where this wine is produced?

That’s right – Napa.

Massican Annia is a small production white wine from a winery that only produces white wine.

And no, I had never heard of the first two grapes either.

It’s fantastic.

It’s also expensive – $40. And as far as I know, only available at Wolfe’s Wine Shoppe.

You can read all the interesting stuff about Massican here. Including the fact that it is only one of three Napa wineries that produces Vermouth.
