Scott Brown has been practicing in the bankruptcy/insolvency field for almost 15 years. He concentrates his practice on fiduciary representation, creditor’s rights, bankruptcy litigation and business reorganization. Scott has been a Chapter 7 Panel Trustee since 2011 and has also served in a variety of other fiduciary roles including as a Chapter 11 trustee, examiner, and receiver. Scott is also active in a variety of industry and community organizations and is a past president of the Bankruptcy Bar Association of the Southern District of Florida.

EST, which included other experienced Chapter 7 Panel Trustees from the Southern District of Florida and trial counsel from the Office of the United States Trustee. They discussed, among other things, best practices, red flags which trigger objections to a debtor’s discharge, and uncovering and administering non-exempt assets.

The panel was presented by the Bankruptcy Bar Association for the Southern District of Florida, in conjunction with the University of Miami School of Law and the Dade County Bar Put Something Back Program during the 28th Annual Bankruptcy Skills Workshop on Friday, June 8, 2018, from 8:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.
