April 28th, 2026 - Posted in Brett M. Amron, In The News

MIAMI, FL –April 28, 2026 – Bast Amron Co-Founder and Managing Partner Brett M. Amron was mentioned in Law360’s coverage of proceedings involving the VPX Liquidating Trust and former Bang Energy CEO Jack Owoc.

The article, titled “Fla. Judge Told Ex-CEO Drove Energy Drinks Co. Into Ch. 11,” discusses arguments made before U.S. Bankruptcy Judge Peter D. Russin in the Southern District of Florida regarding the Trust’s breach of fiduciary duty claim against Owoc.

Brett, representing the VPX Liquidating Trust, argued that the court should grant summary judgment on the breach of fiduciary duty count, citing the multimillion-dollar judgment tied to violations of a trademark settlement agreement and its connection to the company’s Chapter 11 case.

The VPX Liquidating Trust is represented by Bast Amron LLP’s Brett M. Amron and Peter J. Klock II, along with Senior Paralegals Jorge Miranda, Jr., and Maria Desvergunat, and Lowenstein Sandler LLP’s Michael A. Kaplan, Eric Chafetz, Jeff Cohen, Erica Mannix, and Markiana Julceus and the Liquidating Trustee is Steven Balasiano.
